EVENTSTARS APPROACH.

Here at EventStars we try to accept as many horses as possible for rehoming and a second future - with 2 stringent entry criteria - sound and sane!

When each horse first arrives to EventStars they are all individually assessed and while our approach is tailored specifically to each individual horse - some having their first ride on the flat and over small jumps the day they arrive, while others receiving a slower approach. Each horse is available for sale via our Facebook page after their initial few ridden assessments. We try to give the horses a range of different experiences in the short time that they are with us, including hacking out, going on the float, jumping small SJ and XC fences, and other life experiences. Some horses are with us for a longer duration than others, receiving further education and outing mileage as a result.

Each horse is fed a balance of Dunstan: Breed & Grow, and Extruded Rice for those needing more weight on, and Fiber Fresh: Fiber Protect during their time with us. To this, we add Fixine & one of the BetaVet products - either Prepare or Buildagut. We highly recommend continuing to keep the horses on these feeds once they are in their new homes - this is a great mixture that will achieve weight gain without too much zing.

The majority of horses are rehomed sight-unseen due to our time constraints; to ensure the process is as smooth as possible please see our enquiry process recommendations below.

ENQUIRY PROCESS.

When enquiring about rehoming one of our horses we recommend that you contact us via the our Application to Purchase form. Gina is regularly monitoring these messages and will attempt to get back to you as soon as possible. If you do not receive a response, please bump up your enquiry with an email or Facebook message as they often get lost in the hundreds of enquiries we receive each day.

To ensure the enquiry process is as quick as possible we ask you please provide the following details in your initial message:

  1. The name of the horse you are enquiring about.

  2. Details about you: your age, level of experience, whether you have owned an OTTB before, your location, facilities, and what you intend on doing with this horse.

  3. A reference from a coach would also be fantastic, along with pictures of your facilities and a video of you riding.

We look forward to hearing from you!
