EventStars have a range of great facilities available to hire on Kaipaki Road, Cambridge (two separate properties).

BALMORAL ARENA

NOTES: Please park in the parking area to the left, behind the yards. Welcome to tie up in the covered yards and also to use the wash bay. Muck can be placed around the hedges or trees. Payment box for cash is located on the loading ramp. Welcome to move jumps as desired (no need to move back), please report any breakages. Lights available at a small charge if needed. Arena is also available for day clinics, with good safe yards up behind the arena.

TRACK

1030 Kaipaki Rd. 

NOTES: Please park in the parking area to the right as you drive in, nose to the fence. No tying up or hay in the parking area, welcome to use stables on this side. Muck can be placed in the muck cart by the round yard. Payment tupperware is located in the garden by the barn door; this includes change if needed. Most of the year the sand and grass tracks are both available, but at very wet times or during spring the grass may be closed to prevent damage or grow haylage, so please check if in doubt. Track use is generally exclusive to you for the one hour booking period, so you can go either direction and as quickly or slowly as you like. To wash off, you are welcome to use the hose on the stables but please do so in a stable, not on the gravel.

Health & Safety Policy

  1. Possible Accidents and Injury

1a. All riders understand that riding and handling horses is a ‘risk sport’, and all riders and guests enter the property at their own risk. EventStars will hold no liability for any accident or injury to horse or rider on our premises.

1b. Horses as herd animals have a flight response, so calm and caution should always be in practice around any horses at EventStars. Facility hiree’s are not permitted to interact with any EventStars animals without prior permission. 

1c. Suitable equipment as outlined in section 2 should be worn by all riders, and in some cases, guests.

1d. As a farm containing stock, EventStars has all the health and safety risks you would expect on a working farm in New Zealand, which may include but is not limited to:

I. Electric fencing.

Ii. Farm vehicles, horse floats turning.

Iii. Dogs.

iV. Large breed stock.

V. Culverts, ditches, waterways and flooding.

VI. Falling tress, branches.

VII. Slippery, low grip areas ie wet concrete or muddy areas.

VIII. Slow moving vehicles of guests within the parking area.

2. DOGS

2a. Strictly NO dogs are allowed on either of these properties.

3. Children under 16 years old at EventStars:

3a. All accompanying children and guests under 16 years of age must be in the care of an adult at all times. 

4. Accident Policy

4a. In the event of an accident at EventStars, please notify a relevant staff member.

5. Appropriate Clothing and Footwear

5a. Rider Wear.

  • Approved, fitted safety helmet.

  • Riding boots, with a small heel.

  • Long trousers.

  • Wet weather gear if applicable.

  • Gloves.

5b. Guest Wear.

  • Closed toe shoes, ideally gumboots - not sandals or flip-flops!!

  • Wet weather gear if applicable.
