Over the years Gina has developed a plethora of knowledge and gained a reputation as one of the most trusted Thoroughbred Rehomers in NZ.

Gina founded EventStars over 15 years ago, is the co-founder of Beyond the Barriers , and co-owner of Windsor Park Stud.

Her time spent with the horses is balanced-out by time with her hubby: Rod and children: Jonty, Lucy, Oli & Jimmy. In her spare time you will find her in the sun with a book enjoying a glass of wine or gin.

Lisa is no stranger to the Thoroughbred game; having previously worked as a jockey in the South Island before heading north to base at EventStars.

Lisa will often be seen out competing her two OTTB’s geldings ‘Mac the Hack’ and George.

In her spare time she will be found in the garden growing Cambridge’s largest vegetables or with her pup Heidi.

Bella first joined the Eventstars team in March 2022.

Bella has been around horses her whole life. From a young age she has competed in the show and dressage ring both nationally and internationally, coming away with some major results and title wins over the years.

She own’s two OTTB which were both sourced from Eventstars. Percy, a 12yr old Irish bred TB that Bella has produced and competes show hack. And Skye, a 6yr old NZ bred TB who Bella aims to showcase this coming season.

“I love the work we do at Eventstars and being involved in finding these thoroughbreds their new adventures in life, it's very rewarding to be part of the stepping stone they take from the racetrack to their new discipline.”

Tiff is the first to work each day, and she does a lot of magic behind the scenes - she's in charge of feeding up, mucking out, and the many many maintenance things that need constant attention - arena grooming (always with Alvin on the quad!), spraying, harrowing, and fertilizing.

She also loves the opportunity to give the ponies a spruce up or dye, and her weakness is a nice bottle of sav!

Charlotte is our resident EventStars class clown, bringing entertainment, a smile, and breaking the crazy Thoroughbred stereotype where ever she goes.

Currently studying full time at University, Charlotte works for us during her holidays. In her spare time Charlotte can be found out on the Lake Barefoot Waterskiing.
